London Holiday - Day 3

Today we planned to visit Madame Tussauds at Baker Street London.  This visit was especially for our daughter, she loves going to this kind of places and we also came to know there was a wax of Justin Beiber whom she was a big fan.  And Madame Tussauds was not something new to us,  We visited Madame Tussauds in Shanghai, China back in 2008 so we knew what to expect and see.

And the tickets were not cheap, we didnt have time to buy ticket online (I think online tickets sold at about 20 pounds per person) so we ended up paying 28.80 pounds per person, thats equivalent to B$59.04!

Ok, again we woke up way too early today, must be the jet lag.  Me and hubby woke up around 1 or 2am, but we felt sleepy a bit early too, around 7-8pm London time.  So its a bit tiring and not feeling too good I am afraid.  We tried to get back to sleep but only for a while and we kind of waiting for the day to come and the sun to shine!

But that didnt dampen our spirit for this holiday though.  After some simple breakfast, we started going out for our next adventure.  Today it was not really a good day, the day was gloomy and it rained!  One thing I noticed about the rain in London was that, it was not that heavy!  Its kind of drizzling only.  So different from our rain, where when it rains, it really rains!!

Anyway, lets the go to Madame Tussauds. Warning - lots of pictures with "celebrities" coming up!  Dont get fed up lol, but I like to see all these pictures, there were cute actions from my hubby and daughter.  So precious.

You have to pay to take picture with the president of USA!

Then after taking all those pictures, we came to the area where it showed how the wax were done,  There was one nice lady who explained first hand and there was also a video to show the whole process.  Very interesting since the wax were measured exactly as the real person so what you saw was what was the real thing too.

This is Madame Tussaud

Hubby last playful pose before we leave lol....

Well.. cant remember how long we were at Madame Tussauds, but when we came out we were ready for a nice lunch.  It was fun ride though, as usual we took lots of photos and what you saw above was just a fraction of the whole thing.  There were two places where taking pictures were not allowed, at the train ride where we could see London at its glory and the other one at the 4D cinema which showed a short stories about action heros with some 4D side effects.  It was really fun and we did have a good time.

It rained a bit when we came out and before coming to London we did lots of research on where to find Halal restaurants in London so we knew there was one branch of Halal KFC just round the corner from Madam Tussauds so thats where we took our lunch.

Outside the KFC restaurant

This picture was taken after our lunch actually, we couldnt finish the meal so we took some back to our apartment

Ready for Lunch!

Waiting for our order

Yummy............

One thing I noticed while having meals in Europe was to clean up your own mess!  After the meals, all the patrons threw their leftovers away and leave the table cleaned.  I wish we could have the same rules here in Brunei, it would be great!

After lunch, well.. I think its was around 2pm already, we were ready to head back to our apartment.  We were tired from all the walking and maybe the lack of sleep but we really enjoyed our time at Madame Tussauds today.

Tomorrow we will travel to Paris!  Yes baby!  Paris.. I cant wait to see this beautiful city with my own eyes.  Everyone knows its the most romantic city in the world and thats what I want to see.  Hubby booked a hotel right beside the Eiffel Tower!  Its just like 2 minutes walk?  OMG!!!  Cant wait.

Will post our adventure to Paris sooonnnn...............
