London Day 4

Continued from our Day 3 in Paris and the day we went back to London.

As I said, we wanted to visit London Tower and British Museum today.  The entrance was free but visitors were encouraged to donate.

As usual the day started around 10-11am for us.  Hopped on the tubes and tried to look for our destination.  The weather was a bit cold and windy from usual so we were a bit uncomfortable and tired.  We reached one destination, hopped out and didnt find the place.  It was a bit dissapointing.  We walked and walked and could see the tower or bridge was a bit far from where we got down at the tube.  By this time I was feeling a bit under the weather and so tired and cold.  And I just couldnt afford to walk and reach the tower.  So thats a dissapointment.

Since we didnt find the place, well we did saw the tower but its too far, we decided to go to Edgware Road and had our lunch there.  There were quite a number of Halal restaurants here but we opted to have our lunch at a restaurant called Salwa.  And we had nasi briyani, Nan bread and Chicken Masalla.  My favourite, yum....

That bridge was where we wanted to go but its too far from where we got down from the tube.

On our way for lunch

After lunch we continued to visit The British Museum.  This place was a bit easier to find and we reached it after a few minutes walk from the tube.  It was raining so we need to use our umbrella to reach it and the day it was getting dark already.

This is one of our holiday highlight, to visit the museum lol.  Our daughter is a big fan of museum and we never failed to visit museums when we go on holidays, like we went to museum in Auckland, Christchurch, Kuching and some others.  So this is a must!  LOL..

The British museum was really huge.  There were many visitors even its already late around 3pm, dark, cold, rainy and windy.  Well.. the opening hours were until 8pm so there was still plenty of time to go and explore.  Although we didnt visit all the exhibitions because we were simply tired and didnt have the energy to continue.  But it was good and we did enjoy looking at the exhibitions (amid not all).

Below are the pictures of the museum...

So thats that our 4th day in London.  We had a good rest tonight because tomorrow its shopping time!  We planned to go to Harrods and Oxford Streets!  Cant wait, its gonna be awesome.  Wait for my update.
