Paris Holiday Day 3 and back to London

Continue from Day 2 in Paris.

We travel back to London today.  Huhuhu.. I didnt feel like going back.  I still wanted to explore Paris, 2 days was not enough but we had to go back, as scheduled.  Hubby told me we should go back and have a longer holiday in Paris.  Ok that made me feel better lol...

Paris was simply amazing.  I didnt find the people intimidating, in fact they were accomodating.  Some were really friendly and willing to help.  And almost everyone we met could speak English!  We didnt need to use the few French words we learned to communicate.  We didnt need to but we tried to as a courtesy.  Like the butler at our hotel, he was really amazed that I could utter a few french words.  That came a long way.  He was a nice elderly man and was really very helpful.  Wow...  But I guess we mostly ventured around the city and tourists areas only, the language might come handy if we were to explore outside Paris and met the rural folks.  As people in the city where tourists were common, mostly they knew how to speak English.

We left the hotel with a taxi and went straight to Gare Du Nord Station.  Our trip would leave around 12 noon and will reach London around 3pm.  We arrived nice and early to catch the train and once we reached there we decided to look for one Halal Restaurant right infront of the station for our lunch.  (We researched about this earlier so its easier to search for it).

Our daughter infront of the station

Nice building, like the rest of Paris

Cafe at the front of the station

Look at some of those ladies, they were beggars, very persistent and annoying!

The Halal kebab restaurant

Inside the restaurant, yummy...

As usual hubby took care of the administration of entering the station - forms to filled in

Sampat lagi posing!

We had our lunch while waiting for the train

Back to London at St Pancras Station

We reached London around 3pm at St Pancras Station.  It was a good ride getting back to London, the weather was gorgeous, bright sun light.  We were lucky that we didnt get harsh winter like last year although I was a bit dissapointed we didnt encounter any snow.  But still it was brilliant.

We gonna stay at a small service apartment at Hammersmith this time around.  I knew the place was a bit far from central London so we got a taxi and the taxi driver didnt really get where it was so we kind of went round and round looking for the apartment.  We ended up paying him 30 pound for the ride when we reached destination.

The apartment belonged to a family actually.  Quite small, in fact, they rented out their house to guests, she showed us to our room at the 1st floor with a small staircase.  The room was ok, a bit small but its London, everything is small here hehehe.  Hubby was a bit weary, he didnt see any tubes stations around here.  But I read from the internet there were a few.  When we asked the lady she confirmed there were in fact 3 tube stations and numerous buses so its going to be easy to get to central London,  phew.

The day of the day passed by in a blur.  We rested and then we went out and explore the area.  The place was quite near to Hammersmith small town.  But this small town was really buzzing.  Lots of people and so many muslim too.  Lots of shops and as I said earlier, 3 tube stations. So its gotta be easy to go to central London.  No problem.

And just now I realise when I typed this blog, I couldnt find any picture of Hammersmith!  How come?  How come we didnt take any picture of this small town?  I need to ask hubby...

This is still St Pancras Station, our daughter like this station.  It reminded her of Harry Potter, her say!

Our taxi who took us to Hammersmith and cost us 30 pounds!

Our small but cozy apartment.

By the way, that tv didnt work.  And the landlord had to replace with different one.

The small kitchen and dining area

View from our room, not very interesting
Thinking about dinner tonight.  Well. we still had that kebab from this afternoon hehehe.  And we bought lots of fruits from Tesco at the Hammersmith station.  So thats settle it.

Thats our day in London after Paris.  Nothing much today, its travelling time from Paris to London and we were tired also so we didnt really see much today except the small town of Hammersmith.  We rested in the room and waiting for tomorrow to come.

We planned to go and see Tower of London and The British Museum tomorrow.  So will update soon.
